Edit or delete an approval workflow

  • 3 min.

As companies change, payment approval workflows may change over time. The easiest and safest way to edit a payment approval workflow is to run the assisted Set up approval workflows guide again.

Edit an approval workflow

When you edit a workflow, you essentially overwrite it. If there are any open approval requests in the workflow, these will be handled within the existing workflow until they are approved. The new workflow will be applied, when you finish editing the workflow.

  • To edit an approval workflow, search for and open Assisted Setup, navigate to the Continia Banking section and select Set up Security. Go through the steps, as you did when you first created the workflow, and make the relevant changes.

Important

Make sure to edit the approval workflow at a time when it’s unlikely for new approval requests to be submitted. Any approval requests submitted during the editing of a workflow may not be processed correctly.

Delete an approval workflow

If you need to delete an approval workflow from a payment journal, you must use the standard Business Central way.

Important

Before you delete an approval workflow, be sure that all the approval requests related to the payment journal have been approved and completed the workflow.
