Edit or create sustainability reports

  • 4 min.

You have the flexibility to edit the default report to show different periods, include different content, and use filters to show only the necessary information. You can also create new sustainability reports to meet the reporting requirements of your business.

Note

The Continia Sustainability reports are based on the same functionality used in Business Central Financial Reports.

Create report rows based on environmental accounts

While the default report shows data organized into the scopes from the GHG Protocol, you can create sustainability report rows for specific environmental accounts.

Navigate to the Sustainability Reports page and create a new report or select an existing report.

  • Use the Row Definition action.
  • Use the Insert menu to select the specific accounts. You can insert accounts from each environmental account type, as well as G/L Accounts and Cost Types.
  • Use the Emission Type field to select the emission type for the row. You can create multiple rows to report separately on different emission types from the same environmental account.

Edit report columns

You can edit the columns included in sustainability reports. Most commonly, you might need to add an extra column for comparing years of emissions data.

  • Navigate to the Sustainability Reports page and use the Edit Column Definition action.
  • Edit the relevant fields, such as the Fixed Date Filter fields.

Recalculate emission data in sustainability reports

There are a number of scenarios in which you might need to use the recalculation task for sustainability reports. For example:

  • Published emission factor sets are occasionally updated, and can change the result of your emissions calculations.
  • Vendors can provide you with updated emission factors for specific items, and this can make your emissions calculations more accurate than using a code from a published emission factor set.

First, update the emission factor details on the relevant Emission Factor Set Card or Account Card.

Then, navigate to the Recalculate Environment Entries task.

  • Set the From and To Date to specify the period in which entries should be recalculated.
  • Use the Filters to select the relevant Account Type and, if applicable, the relevant Account Number.
  • Use the options to Schedule the recalculation, or simply select OK.
