Expense Management has a built-in approval feature that allows you to automatically request approval of documents. You also get a full audit trail where Expense Management automatically logs all approval interactions and displays them directly on submission. Approvers can approve documents in Business Central or using the Continia Web Approval Portal, or both. The Web Approval Portal is tailored to employees who don't usually make use of Business Central and only need to approve documents. Approvers can be set up in a hierarchical structure in which each user has an approval limit and a senior colleague who automatically gets approval requests if an approval request exceeds the approval limit. The approval feature is part of the Essentials module, meaning that there are no extra Continia licensing costs. However, there might be some extra Business Central licensing costs, depending on the number of approvers.
