How do you submit a mileage claim on the Expense Mobile App?
What options do you have for calculating your route?
Users can submit mileage claims directly from the Expense Mobile App. The app integrates with Google Maps to suggest routes for each journey and automatically calculate distances, reducing manual entry and ensuring accurate mileage reporting.
Scenario
Lina, a salesperson at Conus, wants to submit a mileage claim from her smartphone, let’s see how she does this.
To start the submission of a mileage, sign in to the Expense Mobile App, and then select New Mileage.
- Tap New Mileage and enter addresses
Enter a From address and a To address. The Expense Mobile App automatically suggests the best route and calculates the distance between the two locations.
- Review distance and route
Expand the route tab and select the map image to view distance calculated and route options.
- Choose preferred route
Use the left and right arrows to switch between suggested routes and select.
- To add a stop, select Add via point (optional)
This option is helpful if you make several stops during a trip, for example for visiting multiple customers, as you can combine all travel into a single mileage claim. Select done.
- Submit the mileage
After entering all the information, swipe the Submit slider. Then, choose one of the following options:
- Send and create return – Creates a new mileage entry with the From and To addresses reversed.
- Send and continue from – Creates a new mileage entry with the From address prefilled with the previous To address.
- Send – Sends the mileage for approval.
