Maybe some of your customers are part of a franchise, and their purchasing and invoicing is managed centrally. Or perhaps you work with centrally regulated groups of vendors, such as is common in German Verbundgruppen. When you have groups of customers or vendors who share financial operations, the Associations module can greatly speed up your processes, such as application of payments.
