Introduction to the Essential Module

Continia Finance Essential module includes a range of features that make your work with financial reports faster and more reliable.

Two of the simplest, but most handy features improve the readability and usability of financial reports that you print from Business Central. From the Continia Finance Setup page, you can enable one or both of these features.

• Print Alternating Shading
• Colored Hyperlinks in Reports

Print alternating shading

Once enabled, printed reports will include a light grey shading for each second line. This makes it easier to scan and read through large tables of financial data.

Colored hyperlinks in reports

Once enabled, text that is hyperlinked to other pages within Business Central will appear in a light blue color. This makes it easier to understand how different financial reports and Business Central pages are related.

Scenarios

This module follows a series of scenarios faced by Ester, a bookkeeper at Cronus, Business Central’s demonstration company. Ester works on a wide range of bookkeeping tasks, and is always interested in features and functionality that make her work quicker and more reliable. You can follow along as Ester:

• Works on open entries to apply partial payments and add ledger comments
• Creates Fast Posting Codes and VAT Keys to help a junior bookkeeper use the correct posting groups
• Sends balance confirmation letters to customers and vendors
